History of St. Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated each year on March 17th. St. Patrick's Day is an Irish holiday celebrated all around the globe to honor the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.

Even though Saint Patrick the patron saint of Ireland and one of the most celebrated religious figures around the world, the factual information about his life and times is quite vague. Most information about St. Patrick has been twisted, embellished, or simply made up over centuries by storytellers, causing much ambiguity about the real life of St. Patrick. However, there are a some elements of his story about which most scholars accept to be true.

St. Patrick’s Day is observed on March 17 because that is the feast day of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It is believed that he died on March 17 in the year 461 AD. It is also a worldwide celebration of Irish culture and history. St. Patrick’s Day is a national holiday in Ireland, and a provincial holiday in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Step One
Bring the top and bottom edges of the napkin to meet in the middle.

Now bring the bottom edge almost up to the top, leaving about 1⁄2 inch (one3 cm) exposed.

Step Two
Place your finger at the center bottom, and fold both sides up to meet in the middle.

Step Three
Turn the napkin over, keeping the point toward you.

Fold in each of the four top corners to form the top of the heart.

Pressing the final folds helps keep the shape.

Flip the napkin over.

Valentine's Day Idea...5...

Cheap Valentines Day Ideas

It's very important on Valentine's Day to acknowledge your partner. For those who aren't able of spending lots of money on gifts however, try one (or all!) of these Valentine's Day ideas to say I love you.

1. Purchase some clear red balloons. Before blowing them up, place either wrapped candies, small gifts, and/or love poems inside each one, and then give them to your loved one as a bouquet.

2. Make a meal only out of heart-shaped items, foods that are red, or both. Try red velvet cake, valentine martini, fruit and a heart shaped angel food cake.

3. Write a love letter to say I love you.

4. Create handmade coupons with gifts your partner can use anytime, such as a massage or a night out on the town with friends.

5. Does your partner ever ask you why you love them? Then create your own little booklet using dollar store items just for them entitled, "Why I Love You".

6. Make a mixed CD of all of your favorite songs, or create a compilation of love songs that remind you of your partner. Better yet, learn how to play one of these love songs on the guitar and serenade him or her on Valentine's Day.

7. Learn how to take erotic photos of each other with a digital camera.

8. Grab some construction paper and cut out as many hearts as you like. On each one, share a story about your relationship that shows how much you care. Once finished, take the hearts and string them individually from the ceiling so it looks like your home is raining love.

Valentine's Day Idea................4......

Massage Night

Affection for your partner can be shown in different ways, but none are quite as personal as a massage. A massage can be one of the most sensual moments you can share with your partner. It has even been referred to as a dance of love with your fingertips. Not a surprise, considering the skin is the largest sensory organ in the body!

Ingredients of the Romantic Massage

You'll need some type of oil or lotion. Fragrant oils are fine, but keep in mind your partner's sensitivity to smells or skin irritations. Also check to see if they are allergic to any kind of oils, lotions or scents. If you'd rather not use the oils or lotions, try cornstarch.

Next, you'll need to decide on a location. A sturdy tabletop padded with foam or blankets should work great, otherwise, try a padded floor.

Allow for no distractions! This means unplug the phone and arrange for no one else to be in the house. Make sure you have easy and comfortable access to both the right and left sides of your partner's body and that the temperature is comfortably warm.

You'll also need a towel or two to wipe your hands or your partner.

The most enticing part of a massage can often be the atmosphere in which it is presented. Play some soft relaxing classical, jazz or "mood" music in the background. You can play anything without any harsh rhythms or words. Candlelight, incense and flowers are wonderful mood setters as well. Take your time, and make sure you have plenty of pillows and comfortable blankets. Consider it your temple of love.
